Community and Workforce Programs

As part of one of the nation's most recognized universities, Penn State Behrend is uniquely qualified to provide educational and outreach services to business, industry, and the community through its Office of Community and Workforce Programs.

We provide customized training for businesses large and small, in everything from plastics processing to human resources and leadership. We assess the specific needs of a business and develop customized programs designed to help them achieve their business goals.

Individuals looking to improve their skills and personal marketability can also benefit from our non-credit professional development programs, and we also assist adult learners looking to earn their degree.

Our many youth outreach programs give children of all ages the opportunity to receive educational experiences they wouldn't get in a typical classroom. The wildly popular College for Kids program is in its 20th year of providing summer enrichment to children ages 6-16, and programs like Math Options, 21st Century Kids, and Women in Engineering help young people explore fields like science, technology, engineering, and math in a way that's fun and engaging.
