First-year applicants are those who have earned a high school diploma by the time they enroll at Penn State Behrend, and meet certain GPA and math unit criteria.
Transfer students are those who have attempted at least 18 credits at a regionally accredited college or university after high school.
Applicants who were not granted provisional admission or whose applications cannot be processed in time for the next semester, or those looking to take courses but not toward a degree.
To-Degree Status Students
Once a non-degree student has completed the required number of Penn State credits, he or she may apply for degree status.
Provisional applicants are typically adults who have earned a high school diploma or GED by the time they enroll but don’t meet GPA or math unit requirements.
Provisional Re-Entry Students
Provisional re-entry is for students who were previously enrolled at Penn State as provisional students and who want to return to the University.
Students who have previously been enrolled at a Penn State campus and need to re-apply.
World Campus Students
This is an alternative way to obtain Penn State credit for the adult learner who may need options outside of the classroom.
