Michael J. Woods ’76Michael J. Woods ’76 is president and CEO of Telesource Services, LLC, a world leader in the sale, repair, and remanufacture of telecommunications and data networking equipment. In this role, Woods is responsible for formulating corporate strategy, managing change and corporate culture, organizing and deploying resources, and developing people and leadership.

Founded in 1986, Telesource has three distinct business lines—voice networks for end user clients, voice networks for commercial clients, and data networking equipment. The company is headquartered in Pontiac, Michigan, maintains offices and production centers in Bensenville, Illinois and Schiller Park, Illinois, and provides products and services throughout fifteen countries.

Woods is a former director of the Michigan Humane Society and a member of both the Detroit Economic Club and the Center for Entrepreneurial Management. He is a former director of the Young President’s Organization, and the former chairman and president of the North American Association of Telecommunication Dealers.

As an entrepreneur himself, Woods also is a member of the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Penn State Behrend, which encourages and advises students in developing viable business plans. Woods earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Penn State Behrend. During his senior year, he served as president of the Student Government Association and was the recipient of the Thomas H. Turnbull Award for outstanding service to the college community. He is a member of the Mount Nittany Society, the Glenhill Society, and a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Woods and his wife, Tracy Kimes Woods, have one daughter and reside in Orchard Lake Village, Michigan.
