Academic Eligibility Requirements

For admission to the Graduate School of Penn State, an applicant must hold either (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or (2) a tertiary (postsecondary) degree that is deemed comparable to a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. This degree must be from an officially recognized degree-granting institution in the country in which it operates.

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has developed the region’s first master’s degree in professional accounting. The 30-credit program will satisfy the educational requirements that are needed to become a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and most neighboring states.

Penn State Behrend Offers Master's Degree in Manufacturing Management

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, now offers a new master’s degree in manufacturing management. The 32-credit program will provide a unique set of engineering, business, quality-control and communications skills that are essential to management success in an increasingly global marketplace.

MMM Semester Dates and Application Deadlines

  • Applications are processed on a rolling basis.
  • A complete application portfolio must be submitted by the deadline date.
  • Please note that a majority of new students will begin the program in a summer semester as the first required course is offered only in a summer semester.
  • Applications are being processed now for Summer 2016.
  • Applicants to the program should select Summer 2016 as their semester of application.
  • Full-time and part-time admission to the MMM program is available.

MMM International Students

Individuals with international academic credentials will need to submit additional information for their applications to be completely processed and approved. The Office of International Students, located at the University Park campus, will prompt students to submit required documentation, after the department approves admission and the Graduate School approves foreign academic credentials.
