More Than 400 Students Attend Regional Science Olympiad at Penn State Behrend

Sawyer Rensel, a junior at DuBois Area High School, was one of more than 400 students who participated at the regional Science Olympiad.Sawyer Rensel released his rubber band launcher and his elastic glider proceeded to zing through the gymnasium. It twisted and turned in multiple directions before falling to the ground after about seven seconds.

WISE studentsAn informational open house for Minority College Experience (MCE) and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), two summer college-prep programs hosted by Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will be held on Thursday, April 3.

High school juniors and their parents are invited to attend the information session, which begins at 7 p.m. in the second-floor auditorium of the Reed Union Building.
