Freshman Interest Groups
(FIGs)
FIG is a comprehensive and integrated program that helps new students
explore their academic interests, develop interpersonal relationships,
and familiarize them with the campus resources available to them.
Diversity and Educational Equity
The Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs supports and
serves as an advocate for diverse populations within the college
community. In addition to addressing the specific concerns of
historically underrepresented racial/ethnic minorities, it also works
in support of students with disabilities, international students, LGBT
students, and women.

Incident Response Team
The Behrend College Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) was
developed to mitigate the psychological impact of a traumatic campus
event; prevent the subsequent development of a post-traumatic syndrome;
and serve as an early identification mechanism for individuals who will
require professional mental health follow-up subsequent to a traumatic
event.
