COMPUTER SCIENCE - NON-TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION

The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend invites applicants for a non-tenure track position starting fall 2017. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and an interest in teaching undergraduate courses in both resident and online modes.  Candidates with experience in developing and delivering online courses and potential for leadership are especially encouraged to apply. A minimum of a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. and/or prior teaching experience are preferred. Rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Salary is competitive.

COMPUTER SCIENCE - TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION

The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend  invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting fall 2017. We are seeking applications with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and research scholarship. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, with the ability to teach core Computer Science courses as well as develop elective courses. Preferred areas of research interests include, but are not limited to, data science, computer vision, human-computer interaction, cloud computing, cyber security, and distributed computing. Part-Time Opportunities for 2017/2018 Academic Year

The School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has a need for part-time Instructors in engineering disciplines for fall (August) and spring (January). The ten positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than nine students may necessitate cancelling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Engineering to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs. Required qualifications include evidence of an earned Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a baccalaureate degree with significant industrial experience; evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including use of current technology; evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience.
