Penn State Erie invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor to begin August 2015. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic faculty member in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on undergraduate teaching. The area of specialization is open but candidates with a background in either mechanics or thermal systems are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate interest in and ability to innovate and adopt various teaching methods in the classroom and labs, advise senior design projects, and to engage undergraduate students in applied research. Candidates should demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching, a commitment to advising and service, and interest in applied research. Applications from members of groups traditionally underrepresented on engineering faculties are encouraged to apply. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and those with prior teaching & research experience are preferred.

Penn State Erie invites applications for three Non-Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Mechanical Engineering at a rank commensurate with experience to begin August 2015 to teach at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have a minimum of an M.S. degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering and have interest and ability in teaching core undergraduate courses and/or labs in the ME curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience. The positions are funded for one year but there is the possibility of continued funding contingent upon sustained enrollments. Salary is competitive.

The School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has a need for part-time Instructors in engineering disciplines for fall (August) and spring (January). The 10 positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than 9 students may necessitate cancelling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Engineering to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs.
