Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering
 

Mechanical Engineering Faculty Position:  Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applicants for a Mechanical Engineering non tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2015 at the rank of Lecturer.  Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in engineering mechanics, research expertise in energy harvesting from piezoelectric beams in vortex/turbulent flows, and experience in DAQ system design. A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is required.

PLASTICS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY FACULTY POSITION
 

Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Plastics Engineering Technology
 

Penn State Erie invites applications for a one year Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Plastics Engineering Technology to begin August 2015 to teach at the undergraduate level.  Candidate should have a minimum of an M.S. degree (Ph.D. preferred) in plastics, polymer, mechanical, materials, chemical engineering, or related field and have interest and ability in teaching core undergraduate courses and/or labs in the PLET curriculum. Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: plastics manufacturing (including tooling and design), polymer process simulation, process-based polymer rheology, mechanical and thermal analysis, characterization, formulation and development, and micro-molding. Preference will be given to candidates with prior industry or teaching experience. Salary is competitive.

The School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has a need for part-time Instructors in engineering disciplines for fall (August) and spring (January). The 10 positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than 9 students may necessitate cancelling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Engineering to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs. Required qualifications include evidence of an earned Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a baccalaureate degree with significant industrial experience; evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including use of current technology; evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience.
