I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the Injection Molding Conference at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, to be held May 22 – 23, 2013.  Some of the highlights of the conference include:

  • Presentations by industry experts
  • Twenty half-hour informative technical presentations
  • Select two three-hour tutorials (several hands-on)
  • Keynote about and with Rethink Robotics’ Baxter
  • Network with industry experts and colleagues
  • Reception at end of first day
  • Sponsor exhibit area featuring latest technology

Our Plastics Engineering Technology Department is well known throughout the plastics industry for our high quality graduates and for our students’ award winning undergraduate research.  The facilities at Behrend feature a 10,500 square foot plastics research and instructional lab.  The Medical Plastics Center, material testing lab, and metrology lab will also be utilized for this conference.  Several of our computer labs, equipped with the latest in plastics, engineering, and business software, will also be utilized.

Make sure that you sign up early if there are particular tutorials you want to enroll in, as they will be limited in size and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sponsorship of this conference is a great value and we invite your company to consider doing so.  Please contact me directly if interested.

Erie is a very economical venue so that companies can bring CEO’s and Sales/Marketing Executives, along with their Engineering and Operations colleagues.  If you are bringing your family or looking for something to do during your down time, Erie has much to offer.  Among the local hot spots are Presque Isle State Park and the Tom Ridge Visitor Center.  Erie has both indoor and outdoor water parks, an amusement park, several golf courses, a comedy club, a casino, a minor league baseball team, and a large selection of restaurants and shopping, and most are a short twenty minute drive away from our campus.

It is never too soon to reserve your space.  Hope to see you in May.
