Students, Software Rescue Draft Horses From Slaughter

Catherine Franks Honored with Young Professional Award

October 13, 2011 – Catherine Franks, of Gibsonia, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been honored with a 2011 Athena Young Professional Leadership Award. Franks is an intern for FMC Technologies in Erie.

September 13, 2011 – The School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been named among the best undergraduate engineering programs in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's annual "America’s Best Colleges" rankings, which will hit newsstands on Sept. 20.

August 24, 2010 – The Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) program at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

2010 Marks 15th Annual Engineering Design Conference

April 6, 2010 – The School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will host the 15th annual Richard J. Fasenmyer Engineering Design Conference on Saturday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the college's Research and Economic Development Center (REDC). It is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the REDC parking deck or the Junker Center parking lot.

Dodworth Honored with University-wide Alumni Achievement Award
