Rick Coon is a machinist in the School of Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. He graduated from Clymer Central School in Clymer, New York, and from the Erie Forge and Steel, ICS ÏIntext Trainee Program and Machinist Apprentice Program. He worked for Erie Forge and Steel for ten years prior to coming to work at Penn State Behrend in 1991.
Rick's job responsibilities include:
- CNC work orders
- Set-up, program, operate, and repair machinery for the School Ùs programs
- Maintain shop machine tools and welding equipment
- Order tooling and materials
- Assure shop safety
