Profile

Biography

Mr. Ronald Krahe is associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department and has been a faculty member since 2002. He also taught as a lecturer at Penn State Behrend from 1992-1997. His teaching focus is in computer programming and embedded controls, electricity and electronics, and computer vision. He has published over 20 journal and conference proceedings on his research in mechatronics, embedded controls, sensors and signal processing. Mr. Krahe has also been active in student recruiting and served on numerous committees for the School and College.

Mr. Krahe received the M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University in 1991. he received the MBA in 1972 from the University of Utah. Prior to his teaching career he spent many years working for American Sterilizer. He also served in the US Air Force. Mr. Krahe is a licensed professional engineering in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a member of ETA KAPPA NU, Engineering Honors Fraternity, National Society of Professional Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE ,American Society for Engineering Education ASEE , and BETA GAMMA SIGMA, Business Honors Fraternity.
