Matt Bresee Honored with Alumni Achievement Award
Matthew T. Bresee ’00 and ten other Penn Staters received the Penn State Alumni Association's Alumni Achievement Award. Bresee is president of the Erie BayHawks, the NBA Development League team affiliated with the New York Knicks, and oversees daily team and business operations and sets strategy within the Erie BayHawks organization.

More than 50 alumni and their guests attended this year’s Homecoming festivities, including Midnight Bingo, Wine Tour, Picnic Lunch, and Alumni Reception. While the weather was chilly and rainy, alumni were able to keep warm by the fireplace in Metzgar Center. Earlier in the weekend we honored the accomplishments of the late Benjamin Lane, former dean of students, at a memorial service. Berkey Creamery Ice Cream Now Available in Erie
August 23, 2011 – Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, is now selling Berkey Creamery ice cream—cones, dishes, sundaes and milk shakes—on campus for students, employees and the public.
Smiths Continue to Meet Students' Needs with Scholarship
July 26, 2011 – Larry and Kathryn Smith, longtime friends of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and its students, have endowed the Larry V. and Kathryn A. Smith Family Trustee Scholarship to support Erie County students enrolled at Penn State Behrend.

The Glenhill Society, established to honor Penn State Behrend's most generous donors, held its most recent Glenhill Society Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. The dinner was to express gratitude to our friends on behalf of the Penn State Behrend community. The Glenhill Society, named in honor of Mary Behrend's philanthropy as she donated her 400-acre estate to Penn State in 1948, welcomed 25 new members. Joining us for the event were nearly 100 of Penn State Behrend's closest friends and alumni, including Ernst and Mary Behrend's two grandsons. Both the reception and dinner were held in the newly renovated Dobbins Dining Hall Gazebo.
Local Couple Provides $2 Million to Create Two New Scholarships
May 28, 2011 – Known for their commitment to the community and their employees, Joseph and Isabel Prischak have pledged $2 million to create two new scholarships at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. Joseph Prischak announced the gift tonight (May 28) at a Conneaut Valley High School alumni reunion.
