September 17: Retirement Planning Workshops for Alumni, Faculty, Staff and Parents

Join us as we host two educational workshops to help you manage your financial retirement goals on Wednesday, September 17. These free workshops will be held in the Reed 114 and are open to alumni, faculty, staff and parents. Both the afternoon session (3 to 5 p.m.) and the evening session (6 to 8 p.m.) will cover both cover two topics. To register for our free workshops please email Sharron Zimmerman at sus5@psu.edu or 814-898-6159 and indicate your desired time slot.

The first topic “Shaping Your Family’s Future With Estate Planning: Wills, Trusts, and Other Tools,” will be presented by Thomas C. Hoffman, II, Esq., with Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C. It will highlight what you need to know to protect your family, help shape their future, and create your personal legacy. The second topic “Your Retirement Years: Keeping ‘Em Golden,” will help you navigate the maze of financial planning options available for retirement and will be presented by Domini Allison '04, associate wealth planner at PNC Wealth Management. 

Shaping Your Family’s Future With Estate Planning: Wills, Trusts and Other Tools

What you need to know to protect your family, help shape their future and create your personal legacy.

  • Wills, revocable trusts, living wills, and powers of attorney: what these estate planning documents really do, and when and how you should develop your family estate plan.
  • Trust planning: does it make sense for your descendents?  Get a primer on the benefits and detriments of generational trust planning.
  • Charitable legacy planning: the basics on how to leave a charitable legacy.

Domini Allison is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and has eight years of experience in the banking and finance industry.  She consults with clients to create and implement strategies for wealth accumulation, distribution and transfer as they prepare for, and live in, retirement.  Before joining PNC Wealth Management, Ms. Allison served as a Financial Advisor with USAA, providing comprehensive financial advice to the United States military and their families with a focus on retirement planning, life insurance and Medicare.  She is a proud alumna of Penn State Erie, The Behrend Collegge, with degrees in both International Business and Marketing.
