The Academic and Career Planning center offers a variety of services and resources to help current and incoming students choose an academic and career path. Students who have not yet declared a major can receive assistance with major/career exploration, academic advising and scheduling, and more through the Division of Undergraduate Studies, and the New Student Orientation, assists new, first-year students in evaluating their educational plans by providing them, prior to initial registration, with a comprehensive program of testing, individualized educational planning, and academic advising.
Students and alumni at Penn State Behrend have access to numerous career-related resources and services through the ACPC, including assistance with writing resumes and cover letters, interview preparation, job and internship search assistance, graduate school preparation, and even the opportunity to network with thousands of Penn State grads and explore job opportunities through the Nittany Lion Career Network.
Students can meet employers from dozens of companies in one place to discuss job, internship and career opportunities at Career Fairs held at Penn State Behrend, as well as other colleges and locations.
A number of career-related workshops and events are held throughout the year to help students find jobs and internships, network with alumni and prospective emloyers, hone their interviewing skills and perfect their resume.
